Studio Policies and Procedures
Registration Policy: Families are charged a ( non-refundalbe) $35.00 annual registration fee. We invite your child try any class with the payment of the registration fee. If your child/children do not go into the dance room or partakes in the dance class, the registration fee will be refunded.
Class Placement & Advancement: Our teachers work hard to find the correct class(es) for all of our student’s. Each student will be placed in their proper dance class(es) based on thier age and ability. The Love of Dance staff meets regularly to discuss each student’s progress and placement with in our studio. No two student’s will progress at the same rate, even if they experience the exact same training. It’s important to encourage all of our student’s to focus on themselves.
Weather & Cancellation of Class(s): I't’s important to us that everyone is safe and sound durning bad weather. Any closures due to weather will be posted on our social media pages. An emial will also be sent out to notify all families.
Make Up Policies & Attendance: All of the teacher’s look forward to seeing our dancer’s in class week to week! However we understand that life happens, and our students need to miss a class here and there. In order to mark your child absent from class, we ask that you text or email the studio. We will then place a make up on your account, all enrolled families are able to use their make up’s before the last class of June of 2025.
No families will be allowed to transfer into other dance class(es) after January 31st. A frindly reminder parents, if any student is absent for more then four weeks without notifying the studio, The Love of Dance has the right to drop the student(s) from all class(es). Payment for thoses missed class(es) will not be refunded.
Late Fees, Refunds, and Tuition: The Love of Dance tuition is based on month-to-month payment plan over a 10 month cycle. Our system will run all payments listed on your account the first Saturday of every month. We offer a 10 day grace period, however after the 10 day grace period a $10.00 late fee will be added to your account. My staff and I truly believe in what we do, we educate ourselves throughout the year so that we have the most up to date knowledge in order to teach the best class(es). Therefore, if you or your dancer(s) do not love class as much as we do, we will refund your current monthly tuition.
Non-Returning Students: We are sad to see any student go, we understand that children change their minds. If your child/children decide no longer to contiune with dance class(es) We simple ask that you email The Love of Dance. We believe that communcation is key! However if there is no communcation between you and the studio, we will not be able to refund anything back to you.
Discounts: Miss Kellie is a proud daughter of a military father! It’s so impartant that she passes her thanks to other military families. The Love of Dance offers all military families a 10% discount (Must show ID). We also offer 10% on the second class enrollment.
Credit Card on File: In oreder to enroll at the studio all families will be asked to put a credit card on file. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Our system will run all payments listed on your account the first Saturday of every month.
Communication: Let’s talk, we love building relationships with each of you. We ask that If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s dance education let’s discuss them together. We would hate for you to recieve the wrong information about anything! We find that talking to other students and parents can lead to misinformation and confusion. Simply text or email and studio and we will happly set up a one on one appointment to talk.
Bullying: The Love of Dance has a no bullying policy. If a student bullies any student, parent, sibling, or teacher that student and family will be asked to leave the studio with no refund for tuition or costume payments. That student and family will not be allowed to register with The Love of Dance. Dance education encompasses far more than technique and the steps your children learn. We believe in discipline of dance training gives young people a better understanding of commitment through learning, experiencing the spirit of teamwork, and discover what they can accomplish through hard work.
Cell Phones: Turn the screens off, and DANCE! Staying focus in class is important for all of our dancers to understand the movements.. If you send your dancer to the studio with a cell phone, they will be asked to leave it in their dance bags. We would hate for anything to get lost or damaged while the dancer is in class. We love it when our dancers parents are able to stay and watch class. If you choose to stay please turn your cell phones turned off or muted so that they don’t interfere with class.
Lost Property: The Love of Dance is not reasonable for lost, stolen, damaged property within the dance room or waiting room.Please keep a close eye on your personal belongings.
Strollers: Due to the small size of the waiting room, there will be a small area for stroller parking.
Recitals: We believe that a recital can offers our students a chance to present to their families and friends the results of a years hard work, dedication, and progression. A big part of dance training includes learning through performance. Performance opportunities can help prepare our students for a possible career in dance, they also contribute to children’s success in non-dance activities. This experience helps build self-esteem and confidence, which can result in better school presentations, improved social skills, and strong college interview skills. Please note that all student’s must participate in the dress rehearsal in order to perform in the recital.
Recital Costumes: The Love of Dance will order costumes on our students behave, the cost of each costume will differ from year to year and from class to class. The number of costumes ordered will change depending on how many classes each student is enrolled in. All students will be measured in November, leaving plenty of room to grow. There are no refunds giving once a costume has been ordered. If a student has dropped a class after a costume has been ordered, that family will be notified when the costume arrives so that they may pick it up from the studio. No costumes will be shipped, if a family does not pick up the costumes(s) by the that years recital the costume will become property of The Love of Dance.
